What’s New in ILA Version 6.1.7

ILA version 6.1.7 introduces a refreshed design, simpler settings, improved room controls, and new help resources throughout the platform. These updates are designed to make ILA easier to navigate, customize, and use.

Updated Home Page

The ILA Home Page has been redesigned with an updated theme and a cleaner, more modern layout.

New Tools Menu

A new Tools menu provides quick access to helpful features, including:

  • Language Detection
  • Offline Mode, for users whose accounts include this feature
  • A link to instructions for using Announcement Mode in the ILA User Guide

Room Help Icons

Question mark icons have been added to the room cards. Selecting an icon takes you directly to the relevant section of the ILA User Guide, where you can learn more about the room and how it works.

Collapsible Banner Messages

Banner messages can now be closed when they are no longer needed, helping keep the Home Page clear and organized.

Refreshed Settings

The Settings menu has been completely redesigned to make options easier to find and manage.

Room-Specific Audio and Text Settings

Audio and text preferences can now be customized for each room.

Previously, the same settings were applied to every room. You can now create different presets for individual rooms based on how you plan to use them.

Updated Phrases Tab

The Phrases tab has been redesigned with an improved layout that makes creating phrases easier to view and manage.

Quick Welcome Messages

A new Quick Welcome Message section allows you to create and send welcome messages more quickly and easily.

One-on-One Room Improvements

The One-on-One Room has been updated to match the new ILA design.

The information bar has been moved to the bottom of the chat area, making important information easier to view. This bar displays:

  • Guest name
  • Speech-to-Text status
  • Selected language
  • Text-to-Speech status

Broadcast Room Improvements

The Broadcast Room information bar has been moved to the bottom of the chat area for easier access.

The bar displays:

  • Raised hands
  • Number of enabled participants
  • Number of guests in the room
  • The View Participants button

Moving these controls makes it easier to open the participant list while using the room.

Single Device Room Improvements

The typing language controls have been moved to the bottom of the chat area.

This placement makes the language buttons easier to reach and provides a cleaner room layout.

Improved Language Order Menu

The Language Order menu has been updated with several improvements.

Search for Languages

A new search bar allows you to find a language quickly without scrolling through the full list.

Favorite Languages

You can now select the star icon to add up to five languages to your favorites. Favorite languages are placed at the top of the list for faster access.

Updated Design

The menu has also been refreshed to match the new ILA theme.

New Context Guidance

The Context tab now includes descriptions and instructions for the following settings:

  • Translation Style
  • Translation Context
  • Speech Keywords

These descriptions explain how each option can be used to help improve translation results.

Additional Help Icons

Help icons have been added next to important settings and tools throughout ILA.
