Building ILA Awareness Ideas
ILA Awareness Toolkit: Strategies for School Staff
Use the following strategies to build awareness and engagement for the Instant Language Assistant (ILA) within your school community.
1. Digital Outreach
- Send information to families via communication apps (DOJO, Remind, Parent Square, Bloomz, Class Tag, See Saw).
- Place the ILA link and QR code prominently on the school website, and consider creating a dedicated tab to provide a comprehensive explanation of the service.
- Share awareness content on district and school social media platforms.
- Include the QR code and link to ILA in all school and district newsletters.
- Add ILA information to parent-teacher conference reminder emails.
Note: Use the “Newsletter/website/social media blurbs” document for ready-made templates.
2. Print & Physical Materials
- Display posters and clear table tents in the front office, media center, auditorium, and other high-traffic areas.
- Include a flyer with the ILA QR code and link in first-day student packets.
3. School Events & Classroom
- Encourage teachers to add ILA info, links, and QR codes to their Back-to-School, Open House, or Curriculum Night presentations.
- Host dedicated information sessions for families during Open House or Back-to-School nights to explain what ILA is, why it is important, and how to use it.
Note: Refer to your ILA Account Manager for presentation resources or questions.
